By creating an account and using this web site, you are accepting these terms and conditions. If you do not accept these terms and conditions, you must refrain from using our online services.
- Valid contact lens prescription
You may only order contact lenses through this web site if you have a valid and up to date contact lens prescription. This means that you have attended all appointments and follow up appointments as recommended by your Optometrist. Most Optometrists advise a follow up examination every year if you are wearing contact lenses regularly, though it may be more or less than this depending on the lens type and wearing schedule. You are responsible for ensuring the lenses that you order match lenses as prescribed by your Optometrist. If you wish i-contacts to help check this prescription information, either enter the name of your Optometrist during check-out or reply to your order confirmation email with a scan of your prescription attached.
- Contact Lenses can be Harmful to your eyes
You understand that using contact lenses incorrectly, or using contact lenses that are not prescribed for you, may result in harm or damage to your eyes or vision. You agree to visit your Optometrist as regularly as advised, this is normally at least once per year. If any problems occur such as pain or discomfort, you must remove your contact lenses immediately and consult your Optometrists, or eye specialist. You should never wear contact lenses if you suspect you may have an eye infection.
- Order cancellation
i-contacts reserves the right to cancel any orders. Reasons for cancellation may include, but are not limited to inappropriate use of the shopping site, circumstances where we believe payment details may be fraudulent, insufficient information is provided for us to process the order. If you order is cancelled, you will be notified by email and you will not be charged.
- Termination of membership
i-contacts reserves the right to suspend or delete your user account if we have reason to suspect that you have breached any of the terms or conditions.
- Accurate information
You agree that all information provided when ordering and creating your account is correct. It is your responsibility to ensure your details are up to date when placing an order. You may not to register under multiple identities. i-contacts may delete additional accounts that we believe belong to the same person.
All parties agree that New Zealand courts will be vested with jurisdiction in the event of any dispute arising from this agreement or use of this web site.
- Applicable law
All parties agree that this agreement is governed by the law of New Zealand and that the law of New Zealand will apply to any dispute arising from this agreement or use of this web site.
If the item is in stock then the delivery will normally be sent the same day. For non-stock items delivery can vary, but the estimated delivery times are clearly marked in the product details section for each product. Sometimes a particular item may have to be back-ordered which can take a lot longer. If your item has to be back-ordered we will notify you and you can cancel the order without penalty if you wish.
We can deliver to a PO BOX using Courier Post.
We deliver in New Zealand and can also deliver overseas.
Additional delivery charges will apply for rural and overseas delivery.
Any item that you are not happy with must be returned within 10 days. The item must be undamaged reaching us in its original condition and in its original packaging. You are responsible for the cost of returning the item to us.
If the goods are faulty or incorrectly shipped you need to contact us within 10 days and we will send a pre-paid courier pack in which you can return the goods.
Once you have returned the goods you can get a refund or a credit. We will either refund you by the same method in which you paid, or apply a credit to your account.
Please note for overseas orders, any refund to your credit card or bank account will be calculated and processed in New Zealand dollars. (See below)
All prices for both products and delivery are in New Zealand dollars (NZD) and include Goods and Services Tax (GST). Prices may change from time to time.
- Reward Points (i-points)
Reward points (i-points) are earned for each dollar spent at a rate of 5 points for 1 dollar. They can be redeemed during the check out phase to reduce the cost of a purchase. Reward points (i-points) have no cash value.
Please note when ordering from overseas that your order will be charged in New Zealand Dollars (NZD). There may be additional foreign exchange charges and or fees by your local bank. You may also be liable to pay import charges or taxes in your local country.
In the unlikely event that a refund is required for an overseas order, please also note that the amount refunded will be calculated and paid in New Zealand Dollars (NZD), not local currency, and will not cover any local foreign exchange fees or other charges may have been incurred.
